Bekah RIDINGS, photographer + Director

Idyllic Haus was created by Bekah Ridings, a photographer and director who knows how much the right environment can shape creative work. What began as building the optimal space for her own process is evolving into a developing neighborhood of studios, starting in Bridgeport, with plans to expand in early 2026 — designed with Chicago’s creative community in mind.

Built through relationships and collaboration, Idyllic Haus supports creative process from start to finish. Behind the scenes, Bekah’s husband, Nate Ridings, supports the day-to-day operations of the studio, helping bring the vision to life and keep the space accessible and functional.

WHERE IS THE STUDIO? +

Our studio is located in Bridgeport off of I90/94 near the Sox Stadium. With a free parking lot, it is easy transportation no matter where you are coming from. Once you book, you’ll get everything you need to know in your confirmation email including exact address, check in instructions, and a quick guide to getting set up.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE? +

The building has a dedicated parking lot with a loading zone for seamless unloading and loading. There is also free and metered street parking nearby.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE STUDIO? +

Entry is fully self serve, you will get all necessary access info, codes, and instructions in your confirmation email.

WHEN CAN I RENT THE SPACE? +

Studio hours are 8am-8pm, seven days a week. You will see availability when you go to book. If you would like to request a time outside that range please reach out.

WHAT PHOTO EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE? +

WHAT ELSE IS INCLUDED? +

Every booking includes full access to furniture, props, mirrors, stools, and the styling zone. We also stock basic supplies such as extension cords and cleaning tools so you can stay focused on your work.

WHAT TIME OF DAY IS THE LIGHT THE BEST? +

In the winter months the west wall has the iconic harsh sun and shadow pattern in the morning and the east wall is soft, even light. As the sun moves throughout the day the east wall has harsh sun and shadow pattern in the afternoon with the west wall becoming soft and even. In the summer months it is bright and even at all times with a little bit of shadow play close to the window and on the first couple feet of the walls. There are blackout curtains so you want to control the lighting setup at any time of year.
